単語 覚え方 – Nanaさんのアドバイス

僕は英単語を覚える際に出来るだけ短い期間で多くの英単語(1週間に1000単語、1ヶ月で4000単語の単語帳を終われるくらい)を覚えようとします。具体的には単語帳の中で覚えていない単語を寝る前や起きた後に確認します。覚えていなかったらpost-itのようなもので印をつけて、覚えたら取ります。それで、最終的にpost-itが全部外れるまでこれをやります。
僕は単語を覚える時に書くことはしません。時間がかかって大変な割に少ない単語しか覚えられないからです。発音記号がわかれば発音も学べるので、見るだけで覚えるのが一番効率が良いと思います!

最低でも半年~1年は継続する。

単語を「覚えられない」と言っている人の大半は、実は、そもそも今日お話ししたぐらいの時間をかけていなかったり、復習をしていなかったりする。

単語の暗記はそれなりに労力のかかることなのだから、少なくとも半年~1年くらいは、根気よく続けてみよう。いずれきっと、量が質に転化する瞬間がやってくる。効率の良さを求めるのは、ある程度の量をこなしてからでもよいのではないだろうか。
