City Tax in Japan

There are 4 city tax payments that you need to make every year in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. The amount calculated is from your last year’s tax return. If you live in Chuo-ku it is quite easy to get the the new office in Sapporo Factory.
When I went to pay my city tax today, I asked if I could pay with a credit card, and was told “You can not pay with a credit card at the Sapporo, Chuo-ku Tax Office. We only accept cash. Sorry about that.” It was 39,000 yen this time almost double last time.
North Ward, Sapporo
The tax office is quite far away from the Sapporo Station and payment could only be made there. I hope they fix this and allow us to pay from any tax office in the future.
